Questions on tech inspections
Im not sure on the rules. Cans someone please help. There is an event coming up witihn a couple of months and I wanna make sure i pass tech.
If you run slicks do you have to run extended studs to pass (25x8 on 13 inch lensos)
Also I dont have times yet but the car should be in the 11s. Do I need a cage in there or can i just get like a roll bar from autopower and put it in. if I do need a cage do I have to weld it in or will bolted be fine?
Im running stock seats. Will they pass inspection and will I need harnesses?
For 11s do you need a scattershield or no?
I know thats a lot of questions but im sure someone knows the answers. Thanks.

fmaxturbochic has it 100% correct. All of the questions you just asked can be had by reading the NHRA rulebook. It is a bit of a long dry read, but you'll have a better understanding of what is required, and what is not if you take the time to read it. A lot of people are quite surprised by some of the rules (myself included the first time I read them). So in all reality, for anyone that is remotely serious about drag racing, please take the time to read this book. No one wants to see someone trailer a car 100+ miles, only to be turned away at tech. Especially the tech inspectors, although have no fear, they will turn you away, as it is your safety, and everyone you race againt's safety on the line. None of the NHRA rules are there arbitrarily, they are all there to try to protect you, and make the palying field, a safe place to play. Kudos to the NHRA technical staff for a job well done. I for one think you folks are great.
