Default prepping for the track...

i just wanted to get an idea of what are some steps and procedures you guys normally do before taking your car to the track.

i'm going this wednesday and would like some new ideas. i already plan on taking a few things out to reduce weight and the normal tune ups for my motor.

anything else?

Bring your slicks/DRs if you have them, tools, spare parts like axles etc., tire gauge, spare spark plugs, race gas if you need it (speed shops are usually a LOT cheaper than the track), change your oil before hand and i like to check the tranny fluid too, check all fluid levels, bring extra oil, go over all critical suspension and drivetrain parts, I like to bring along a timing light, if you drive the car there and back bring a spare alternator belt, it sucks to break one at the track and have a friend have to follow you to keep switching batteries, bring some gloves in case you have to get in the engine bay while its hot, helmet, jacket, gloves, and shoes (if needed), wipe off window chalk instead of the garbage *** shoe polish you have to razor off, some friends to help you fix it when it breaks, and most important, a cell phone.....
