I would have mounted it about a foot higher, but it should still work. If the chute hits the ground obviously it won't deploy as it should. Just watch for that.

Any chance you can bend the chute plate to point upward more?

the rest of the cage looks awesome and they also got it certified for me to. I was just worried about the chute mount.

Hmmmm, yea thats on the low side. If they can move it up for you that would be ideal

since it has a helper chute, it should be fine. if it were a mechanical launcher chute, it would just hit the ground.

I would have them mount it higher... if there is a question about your safety then I would have them change it. It wouldnt be hard to make it higher.

tether point is good. as for the chute itself, like mentioned, it wouldnt hurt to mount the chute higher or maybe tilt it "more" so itll shoot up more when deployed, but it does help that its a helper chute. you can always try it out and a moderate pass and have someone at the finish line take a video

So long as you pack it right it will be fine. It only needs to get past the drag bubble to deploy.

look at the stroud instructions, there is a picture showing not to mount it like this. I wanted mine low too but to do it right it needed to be higher. even that tag line seems low.

Email stroud, they said it was too low and wouldn't inflate right and needs to be higher and at a 45* angle!
Thanks for the help!

Every fabricator has a mind of his own, you gotta stay on top of those fools no matter how great they are at what they do. I know when i go to redo my roll cage i will be there every day of the work to make sure its meticulously done how i envision it otherwise ill just want to vomit.
