Forgive me for not knowing Josh Peterson's past because i may just be putting my foot in my mouth, but I wonder what it would be like if we could get a Senior Import guy in that position.??

May 27th 2005:

NHRA has created a new sport compact organization that is designed to build upon the leadership position currently enjoyed by the NHRA Xplod Sport Compact Racing Series. Josh Peterson , who has extensive experience in the sport compact drag racing scene, has been named NHRA's general manager of sport compact racing. Peterson's background includes extensive experience in mechanical engineering, race-program and race-team management, and marketing. Before joining NHRA, Peterson was a product analyst for the Pontiac-GMC Division, and for three years before that he was the program manager for General Motors Racing Division's front wheel-drive drag racing program.

As to is this a good sign or bad?
It could be simple as a promotion for peterson
on the flip side, its quite odd they gave him a new position/promotion? with no fore thought into a replacement ?

i would like to see that....but who could fill that role? what is the pay like? would u have to relocate to so cal(if not already living here)?

i think they should make a nice offer to someone at one of the other sanctioning bodies....someone with some experience and the know how.

I vote Ron Bergenholtz for this job. There is not one person more dedicated to this sport then him.

Old School Tom with a good idea

imagine Ron B running down the strip throwing t-shirts in the stands... or better yet, being carried on jessica barton's shoulders throwing t-shirts in the stands, LOL
that'd be awesome!!!!!
