Default NA axles

a question that's been bugging me for a while is why axles for NA drag cars have to be stronger than those for FI cars? maybe stronger is not the right word, but i've seen a few sites that say "those axles can hold 600whp, but not suitable for NA engines" for example.

there is a all motor drag crx (does mid 10's) here in oz that has constantly been breaking the axles which they got straight from their previous FI crx (does low 9's from memory). to me that doesnt make sense, especially since torque breaks things....

can someone please explain this to me?

Stock b-series axles will do, if they break just replace them with lifetime stock axles. Stock axles can handle up to 550-600whp, and will last atleast half the year with a good driver. Plus a stock b-series axle is really cheap/inexpensive compared to aftermarket axles.

just on a side note, my car wont be powered by a b-series engine/box and nor does the 2 drag crx's that i referred to
