Default My first track Experience

Well, it was an 1/8th mile. I had hopes of breaking into the 8's. That didn't happen, my best of the night was a:

9.095@80.03mph
2.193 60ft.

My usual times were averaging a 9.4 @ 80.00.
I was always trapping withing 1mph +/- of 79.xx mph.
My typical 60ft's were around 2.3-4.

I had horrible launches everytime. I tried all different techniques to no avail. The best way I found was to feather it around 5-6k and it would spin, but spooled the turbo so I came out screaming. Only bad thing, is that when I would hit 7k in first gear, my car would start wheel hopping like nobody's business and cause me to hit the limiter a few times. A guy @ the track told me he had a similar problem and he replaced his stock struts and it helped him out alot. He was in an Lt1 though...

I ran a buddies Evo a few times, he would pull me out of the whole by around 2-3 cars and by the end of the 1/8th I was right beside him everytime. His best was a 8.71@80.xx. I was able to reel him in, but ran out of track. He was running 21psi due to his boost controller, vs my 9lbs..

Any suggestions or what I could have run with these times?

Thanks for all the input in advance....
