Moran injectors
Has any one here used the moran 235# or 275# billet atomizer injectors in a honda application im really thinking of taking the plunge and buying these as they are user serviceable and not much more than a set of id2000s
Theyre **** IMO... Had a guy with a pro-mod car trying to get them to work with his setup. Always had inconsistencies and multiple injector failures. The longest a set would last him was about a dozen dyno pulls. Never made it off the dyno with them. Im not sure what he switched to, but the car hasnt had a single injector failure since he switched. Methanol fuel BTW.

I started looking into these my self but several People said they were inconsistent. They would tune a part of the map and get a/f set make another pull and those same fields would be off again and have to adjust. What inconsistencies are other people seeing? Do they come with a latency data sheet?
so inconsistencies is what people are saying is the problem. I have reason to believe that the latency/voltage offset were not setup properly were any of these injectors that were having issues ever put on a test stand and flowed/checked?
Would be my guess as well, most people just expect to just put them in and they work, tons of domestic guys run them with much success mainly in a staggered setup with small injectors
Question is do they come with latency/voltage offset tables? I was told they didn't which was the issues I'm sure. If you don't set latency tables it will be very inconsistant.
I have a set of the 325's that miller should be tuning in the next couple weeks and I can come back with some feed back. I was running the siemens 220's however I ran out of injector on E85 and don't want to do a dual rail setup. I figured these were worth a shot, if it doesn't work out dual rails and ID's are in my future. I will report back once retuned with them.
I have seen many sets of Moran Injectors at the track; on cars that are pretty high budget in my opinion. Way to high of a budget to buy junk parts, if you know what I am saying. If they sucked like the guy said that supposedly knows a guy who couldn't keep them on his Pro Mod then I think big budget race teams would not use them.
The inconsistency is from the ECU side. These injectors require quite a bit of current and peak time to fire properly. Most people run ECUs with poor drivers that are not adequate for handling this kind of load, and or, you cannot adjust the peak and hold times. This makes for sloppy injector handling..

How much power were you making? I've done 1000HP on E85 with the ID2000s around 70% duty cycle, and the Siemens 220s flow more than the ID2000s by about 300-400CC at the same pressure.
Are you sure its not a pump issue?
I was always under the impression that the Moran injectors are rated for super high rail pressures for use with mechanical pumps....IE at "normal" base rail pressures the Moran's only flow like 100lb/hr.
