Spend enough time around a dyno and you'll see this a lot. The cars built like **** and the owner of the car expects the tuner to fix all of the problems for the original price of just tuning it. I know a lot of tuners won't even touch a car if they think it's gonna be a problem.

 

water in the fuel ? anyone do a specifc gravity test on the fuel before it was thrown in the tank?

 

Its also easy for a tuner to blame it on other problems, Not defending no one. We fix alot of F*** Ups from others

You used the correct word though. "FIX", b/c that is exactly what this car needs. To be fixed, THEN tuned.

Best way to prevent this kind of problem,

Before Car gets on the dyno, charge 1 hour of your/shop time to look things over and make sure everything is up to par before it gets on the dyno. and then 1hour of your/shop time Money gets included in dyno session fee.
win win situation for customers and shop owner.

 

Dude you fixed nothing on the car..you never turned a wrench..Took you almost 2hrs to figure out the boost solenoid wasnt responding to what changes you where making in the computer..You put a cap with a funnel on the radiator and ran the car and said it's not bubbling like any headgasket blown we've seen.So you said that it was fine

 

Before i tune a car. I let the customer know, that if there are any wiring problems, or problems of any sort and I have to fix it, there will be a diag fee and fix fee. If i'm going back over a shop thats already f'ed it up once, it'll cost even more. Sorry, thats the way you have to do business with people now and days.. they always seem to try to bargin for a better deal, like your prices aren't your prices.

I have customers who call me and try to talk me down on prices.. are you kidding me? This isn't a pawn store.

 

Oh and bye the way what needed to be fixed? Your a shop owner/ tuner? Most good tuners can kinda point the customer in the right direction..Unlike you that didn't know how to wire the boost solenoid up.we had to wire it back up.

 

who said it was right when it was leaking? that happend on the dyno. sure the tunner didnt want to sit around while he took intake manifold off.

 

Exactly. Hence the reason why your car was unable to be tuned properly. You paid for 2hrs of DYNO TUNING.

NOT DYNO TUNING, DIAGNOSTICS, & REPAIR.

It took 2hrs to fix your throttle linkage issue, MAP sensor issue, find out why it would not rev pass 4200rpm, diag why the coolant hose blew off, & for you to find out that your boost controller was not even wired in.

We were hired to tune the car not fix it. It was up to you to have your car running properly & everything Working. Not us. You paid us to TUNE YOUR CAR. NOT FIX IT.

We know to wire in a boost controller, but AGAIN you did pay us to wire in a boost controller, or fix any of the other issues w/ your car. Your car is supposed to be working when you bring it to be dyno tuned. Its not on us to fix your car then tune it. Unless we are paid to do so.

I've seen this way too often haha.

 

Thats funny the 02 sensor your self saw thread into the whole? Oh we where two hours late cause you changed the day twice at the last min. so instead of using evil-ek's in close and my friends 3500 we where stuck pulling with two trucks and one got a flat im sure you visually saw the truck sence it was sitting off. and what was the first thing you said when u got the clean pull of the old tune? " i can make power with this car" - smiling. then yall made some more pulls then something was wrong everytime, like in op stated. But it was never just one thing it was head gasket,dizzy, tps, boost, it was always something diffrent pulls. and yea the one c16 was bad but if i rember right i asked do we need to get it out of the tank or do you want to dump the un opend in there and see if that helps, you said lets try that.

 

We told this customer when he made the appointment that we are Very, Very, busy & dont have time to diag, fix & tune a car. We let him know that we will be tuning the car for 2hrs & that's it. We opened the shop 2hrs early to fit in into our busy schedule, & he showed up 2hrs late. This costs us 4hrs out of our already busy day.(2hrs waiting on him, & 2hrs on the dyno).

I believe that we should be the ones w/ a thread stating how you showed up w/ a POS car & wasted 4hrs of our time.

Prob forgetting stuff. But ohwell

And there's no crushed intercooler piping on car..lol

 

As stated earlier. We are very Very busy. We had to reschedule twice due to fact that we have 10 engine builds, 4 trans builds, & 7 cars at the shop that we are currently working on.

I'm done with this issue.

FIX your car, or pay someone to FIX it. THEN get it tuned. You'll be a much happier individual if you take that little bit of advise.

I wish you the best of luck w/ your build in the future. I truly do, I hope that you get the car fixed & running properly so that it can be tuned properly. It looks like it has the ability to make some decent power w/ a little more work.

Can we get pics of the bay? The car looks reasonably clean, if you can verify that the tuner is lying about all the flaws that would go a long way in discrediting his claims.

 

Haha it's a pos let's talk about that Pos shop tow vehicle/every day 1980s blazer with a differ wheel on each side..I wouldn't be tlking **** bout a customers car and your diving dat..where regular ppl and our tow vehicles where way nicer then yours? (If I was you I would start driving the worlds fastest rsx around instead of that blazer)

Its a 2002 Blazer Extreme, & Yes its need some work.(desperately). If we can find some free time maybe one day we will fix it up. Until then we'll keep using to tow the car back & forth to the track.

KeseK24RSX, no need to respond anymore. These guys (owners of the car) are jokers, of the worst kind. Anybody who does tuning, runs into these type of guys all the time. They expect you to diagnose problems, fix problems and tune for an everyday low price of $9.99.
