Ok so my 2nd time at the track on slicks. my first time i ran 8.37 at 87.5, and i couldnt do a burnout at all(this was on 10lbs of boost built ls/vtec). 2nd time back and went 8.39 @ 88.8. i still couldnt get them going. these are on 22 x 8 slicks and i was on 15 lbs of boost this time. just spn through 2nd. my ebrake isnt holding long enough to get them smoking. i need some tips guys anything to try and help thanks Chris. also my ebrake is tightened all the way .
What gear and rpm were you trying?
You can probably just raise the rpm and get the tires spinning initially and the e-brake wont have to hold as much.
I dump the clutch at 7800 rpm in 3rd gear to get a nice burnout.

im going with him. i recently started using my first ever pair of slicks for this car. i tried to do a burnout in 2nd gear dropping at like 7-8k and hold for a few sec. like i used to do on my bfg 205 DR, but nothing. 2nd gear attempts just pull straight through and dont give me any spin time at all. i tried first and it spins a little but not enough to make me feel good. im also on 22x8 MT running 200hp NA. i did try this at unknown lowkey private race spot, poured lots of water, didnt do what i wanted. whats the deal? will the burnout box at the track be diff? does the concrete make that big of a deal over watered pavement? sorry for the thread jack, just another similar problem and more info for help.
ps. dont worry about the whole private spot thing, i dont wanna hear nothin about it!!
