Honda Modified Class

To date there haven't been any entries at all of a Honda in current Modified class trim. Mike Long of G-Force Transmissions has a Prelude with H22 power, but to my knowledge, it has yet to see the track. As far as I know, the car is very near completion, if not already completed.
As a side note, the HART Honda team was trying to ready their car for Modified class, but I believe they were stonewalled by NHRA techs because of their firewall. Maybe they can chime in here?

Go to http://www.pistonvsrotor.com, look in "proyectos" (or "projects" in English) and scroll down to G Force Products. That's where you'll see it.
The HART team was on here a few weeks ago. I posted about them when they went to the Jeg's Northern Sports Nationals. Whoever posts from their team goes by the name "Hart_Tuner".

looking great !!!
did you do all the fiberglass yourself ?
i have a question reguarding your floor bars, the bar that runs from the bottom of the A pillar to the 2 center "frame rails" its kinda angled toward the rear of the car, i was under the impression that this bar had to "contain" your feet. or will you be adding more tubes that will "contain" your feet ?

You are right Dave. If he is really short and set's his pedals/controls up behind the bar. He is good to go.
So either A) He is really short. or B) he is gonna sit further back into the car or C) Just mind need to ad or change the bar around to where it protects his feet.
Technically your controla/feet are not supposed to go past the bar.

Considering those bars are already halfway past the doors, I'm assuming there will be more bars added later.

As far as I remember there is nothing that says you cannot have bars underneath or through your floor pan. As many 10.5 tire outlaw mustangs do this. You may want to check this pat of the rules out. At that point you can weld back in your original floor through the bars, its a PITA but OE floors are light and strong, with the extra steel in there, it can only be stronger.

Reason? I don't want to find myself in a position of owning an expensive car with no class to run in. I'm not sure what NHRA is going to do with the SC classes, integrate them into Comp Eliminator, sportsman, etc. If that happens, all this work could be for nothing. for example, removing the floorpan, would have to reinstall the pan for comp elimin. Who knows what else could come up. Anyone share some insight?</TD></TR></TABLE>
In case you've missed the huge announcement there is no more NHRASC, it's now nopi drag racing series sanctioned by nhra, the new rule book hasn't come out yet so you might want to wait for that but it shouldn't change much from the modified rules except the domestics will also run. Build looks awsome good luck with it.
