Default Help with BFG's

This past friday was my first time racing with my BFG G-Force dot slicks. I had constant 2.3 60' times. I started out with tire pressure at 18 and worked down..my 1/4 got worse as I took the pressure down. I was launching at 5-6k.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get my 60' down?

Current setup is I/H/E and a little fuel tuning..nothing special. Full interior too. Tires are brand new except for 5 runs on them now. I know this might sound stupid but I think I need to learn how to do a burnout. When I did my burnout it would spin for a sec then catch and I would drive forward. I can't seem to keep the tires spinning.

i dont know you have to heat cycle them i ran mine like 60 miles before i started burning them out. try doing a burnout in second that works for me and we get consistenet 2.0 60fts going to try for 1.9's on next set i buy as these are almost gone.

Just rev it up high and dump the clutch, if that doesnt work just pull the e brake and burnout like that.

I ran mine a bunch of different ways and found that a good burnout and pressure around 20 is ideal for that tiny bit of spin needed to get a good 60foot. With low pressure arond 14 it grabbed so hard the car would either bog or break loose violently and begin an unstoppable wheel hop. So after many test runs I came to a happy medium. 22 psi, snd gera burnout until the smoke rolls. come out of the burnout box with tires spinning. Drop the hammer at 45oo (I use a MSD 2-step to do this) I get between 1.9 and 1.85 60s every time and little to no wheel hop. My besttime with this setup is 13.14@108 and worst time is 14.65@104 ( but little did I know at the time my cat had made babies in my exhaust) . My car is a 2000 Si with JRSC on 11psi and bone stock internals and fuel delivery.

Done talking.
