Default Greasy Blocks shootout interviews

FALL NATIONALS INTERVIEWS

You guys all know that every year about this time I write up a few interviews just to get a behind the scenes prospective. I enjoy it. This year, instead of just contacting people I wanted to have a different spin on things. I want to know who all, as the community who talks about this event the most IMO, want to hear from?

Any competitor from any class. If you guys want to hear from them let me know. Also, what are you wanting to hear about? Would you like video? I want to put a new spin on things this year. I say it over and over, it is our community and we have to publicize ourselves.

Thank you all for taking the time to look. Hopefully I will see you all out there.

-BH

I want to hear from Vinny Ten(Vinny Ten Racing-NY). His monster Supra is coming back from the dead. This car once completed should terrorize the modified class.

All of these guys had a hand in laying the foundation of our sport... There are more, but these guys are all "behind the scenes" now!

Kirk Miller (Big wig @ AEM, been around forever...)
Rob Miller (the only other chassis guy Shaun Carlson would let work on the Neon/ Focus ProFWD)
Mike Long (one of the owners of G-Force transmissions)
Darren San Angelo (Ex-owner of R&D Dyno, involved in the All-Motor stuff since the beginning)
Eddy Kim (Dynamic Auto, THE original "import" speed shop
John Kuryama (I'm sure I mis-spelled that one!) (Fast Trax turbo's... What all the OG's ran)
Eric Hsu (XS Eng., Apex, and now Cosworth...)
Javier Gutierez (Mr. JG Engine Dynamics, definitely Old School.

Need more?

Are these racers that will be at the Fall Nationals this year at Englishtown? Not downing your suggestions, but would like for the thread to stay on topic somewhat.

But your 1st suggestions were killer, would love to see what some of those guys would have to say about the sport looking back on how it ended up. The whole "big sponsorship" thing.

I can see those being interesting, on both sides. Ron and Ed as well.

I am open to all suggestions, as well as what you guys want to know as well. I want to leave this years interviews in the public hands.

I added a little background on the last group of names I posted above...

Are you really only looking for current racer's? Maybe Jeremy@ Drag Cartel, Norris Prayoonto, Saul Salceda, Jeremy Allen, Tony Palo, Chris Miller, etc...?

Yes only racers that are competing in the fall nationals. Every year I do interviews to let people in on a few players. This year instead of me choosing I am letting everyone else choose.

Did you have deposits from them all? And I always enjoy interviewing Jerry.

How about we shine some light on the some of the BS that's happened this year? Why not call people out. Hell, we've got people accusing others of theft and fraud, and no one talking about it.

Come on brother, get it done.

You know I'm not going to be quiet about this. I'm sick and tired of people ripping other people off in this industry. The crooks and thieves in this industry are a big reason for people leaving it.

It's like this. If you went to a shop and spent a grip of $$ and then found out that the shop lied and ripped you off. Would you want to be a part of this industry? I know A LOT of people in the Tri state area that walked away.

I think it is due to that fact that people get called out and then all of a sudden , the post or entire thread disappears... Politics I guess. But I am with Clayton on this one. Pats on the back are cool. But people really need to know who the snakes are if this sport is going to thrive and grow stronger.

I am game, and this time I am thinking of video interviews. I am looking for the proper way to pull this off, but thats what I am thinking.

I have had fun with it the past 2 years and this year will be no exception. People participating will be the best part. Commenting, replying, reposting, getting word out there, that kinda ****. There is no sense in not pushing our events as hard as possible. I do not see your "one time a year" or "when we feel like it" media pushing it as hard as they could. Hell, its fighting an uphill battle with the stance and drift blogs, but if we all give information and support, we can fill the stands, and possibly bring out a few other racers too.

I do agree some what but they also have a devoted section ( that is not known about unless you visit the market place ) , I've seen a few bigger name guys get called out on here that are sponsors, and the threads didn't disappear. I bet some of the vendors that are listed in that section don't even know about it.
