spent over 2000 in parts and machine work excluding the block my loss is your gain.

He's willing to sell it for 1300 to me. Im not a professional so what should I look for? Is this one of those too good to be true deals? Thanks

It would be a good deal with the engine was built correct. If it was not, a complete waste of money.

86mm is pretty thin.

agreed. 86 is extremely thin. i've used 2 86 motors and I dont like them. I would much rather have seen 85mm on them. but when you get what you think is a deal, they are hard to pass up.

how many miles on the motor? what kind of abuse has been done to it?

as mike said, if its not in good condition or was built improperly, its not worth the money. if a head was with it, it'd be a steal though.

it has 4000miles on it... as far a abuse it was never dynoed only base tuned on 440 injectors as far as I know. WIll find out more

i'd already say no go. jsut with that. no dyno tune, and already 4000 miles. that big of a motor isnt designed for longevity

can someone tell me why 86mm is bad? I mean if its sleeeved how bad can it be?
