Default FWD Traction

I noticed after driving a Honda that it has a lot of traction for a FWD

Is there any specific reason behind this?

I am trying to make a quick FWD Mitsubishi, and worried of traction problems

Any help would be appreciated

So far my mods for traction are simple:
LSD
Anti lift kit
Hard rear suspension
Pretty sticky tyres
What else am I missing??? (it's a street driven car so no crazy mods)

It's because of the double A-Arm with the high upper A-Arm design, very neat!
Most fwd cars have a crap Mcpherson strut design.

The Eclipse/Laser/Talon also have a double wishbone suspension.

Space constraints....

The original poster was referring to a normal street car, in which case the suspension plays a big part in traction, when you drop 28's on the car, does the fine elements of suspension tuning still exist?
I have a feeling, the sticky rubber does most of the work from then on.

Take a honda around a track, and a car with a McPherson strut around a track, then tell me which one has more grip.

The McPherson strut setup is to be able to lower the car more. With the double wishbone the upper control arm hit's the strut tower. These are drag only cars, they don't take turns...

I wish Hondas have the traction you think they do. If they did we'd be running 1.35 60's without having to step up to 28 and 30 slicks and snapping built axles like they were toothpicks. It will be truly a job well done once somebody finds the cure to driveline problems. All the hardcore drag racers know exactly what I'm talking about.
