What are you referring to.. the Hondata full throttle shift or just full throttle shifting period? To answer your question, it's like everything else in drag racing or any other motor sport, you are going to damage parts.

There is few of ways to full throttle shift

1. Ignition cut
2. Tap the rev limiter (basically the same as above)

Basically you are holding down the gas pedal in between each shift. And yes you will wear a few parts as you are doing this. Anyway I hope this helps. Just my opinion, hopefully some has light to shed on the subject.

personally i think its a waste of time to spend the $ and effort to make the ecu do this, learn to shift faster. the revlimiter works fine for me.

Just learn to shift quick enough to not drop your revs at all between shifts

so you guys really think it isn't worth it
if you're already getting hondata
do you guys think it would be less stress on the
clutch considering you wouldn't have to powershift
it as hard?

Did you watch that link to the video? That car looks like an electrical fire waiting to happen (ghetto style).

how would it hurt ur synchros? you have no power going to ur tranny since the clutch is engaged. i ran an extra brake light switch on my clutch pedal and ran those wires to my 2step, you only need 1 chip in the msd 2 step for when the clutch pedal is pushed in the rest of the time you can use ecu rev lmiiter. simple setup but it cost me almost $300....just over $200 for the MSD SCI-L box, $60 for the 2step.
