I'll try to snap a pic tomorrow. My bay is ugly as sin right now, I've never taken a pic of it.

But it's a ramhorn. 90s straight down, goes under the lower rad hose, then weasles around my intercooler piping and back forward and up to not be sitting on my tire lol.

LOL! Thats cool man. It seems a little more complicated to do if you are running any other manifold other than a forward facing one.

Haha yep. That was directed towards your car. I was tryin to think of a different way to route my downpipe because around here alot of ppl are putting it thru the hood which looks pretty tight but I havent seen anyone around me with it going thru the bumper. I googled some images of civics with front bumper exit downpipes and your car popped up. I was sold on it. I really like how the tip was slash cut on a bend. Looks awesome man.

as long as you have it through the bumper and not below you should be fine. Try to keep everything on the front of the car at least 3" from the ground.

I have a ramhorn manifold and my exhaust exits thru the passenger side bumper and i have not had one problem with the lights.. the lowest thing on my car is the traction bars.

3" from the ground shouldnt be an issue at all. My car will be sitting like a 4x4 until I can save up enough for an exospeed front end. lol

That picture you posted wouldnt load up. It seems like a lot of guys with ramhorns are routing it out the passengers side. I will be running a Topmount (MAYBE just maybe a forward facing manifold) and I want to run it out the drivers side that way I dont have any exhaust components next to the radiator and intercooler pipes. I just bought some full race traction bars also so we'll just have to see if I can route the downpipe between the manifold and above the drivers side traction bar.

What does it look like in the bay?

I have the AFI forward facing on my car. gravity will drain it back intot he pan just fine ( I have a moroso pan and used the supplied bung already welded in) but if you are gonna weld your own on you could probably add a little more "angle" to the drain line. mine is a bit shallow but works fine

How are you guys with the 3piece fronts keeping rubber from the tires off of the downpipe? Did you guys make new fender liners or rig the stock one to work?

If you decide to go out the side of the bumper, just make sure you give the DP a slight upward angle.

If you watch the vid of JJ's car, the pipe is angled downward which also contributes to the problem.

This is a good question. From what i understand ppl have said that it typically doesnt really sling forward. Id imagine that it some would have to get on it.

what size turbo are you going to use? I have a T4 S366 and had to notch just a little bit of the left side of the frame area to fit the turbine housing. a tiny bit of the lower rad support for the drain as well.

Thats a sick setup man!! I will be running a vband housing billet 6262 this year. Im probably going to have to stick with the top mount setup because if i run the forward facing setup ill have to get a different intercooler setup.. The season is just around the corner and i dont wanna be in the same boat as i was last year. (didnt get my car finished till september.lol)

Yeah i had a lil mishap where my downpipe melted the shroud of my rad fan but ever since i put the wrap around the downpipe i have had no problems with the car running hot or melting anything. One of the major factors that I ran into was when i switched from impo traction bars to the full race traction bars i had to move my downpipe. Good luck with it.
