Finally went to the track...
Well, I finished my B18C1 swap into my hatchback and went to the track with my dad, my brother, and a customer's Supra we built.
This is my first FWD car to race so bare with me.
Performance List
SRP 9.5:1 pistons (I'm going turbo later on so I decided to drop the compression a bit)
Eagle Rods
ARP headstuds
el cheapo 4-1 header
2.5" exhaust
Fidanza lightweight flywheel
Exedy clutch
It was about 50 degrees outside and I'm in southeast Texas (below sealevel).
I aired my tires (Kumho Ecsta Supra) down to 19psi as well....I was carrying drag radials for the Supra to the track off of my brother's 300ZX, so I had to take out the spare tire, jack, etc. So I guess you could say I was "gutted" in the rear a bit, but no treally.
Here goes...
1st run
Reaction: .7880
60 ft: 2.72
1/8: 10.4 @ 69mph
1/4: 16.01 @ 88mph
2nd run
Reaction: .6699
60 ft: 2.46
1/8: 10.1 @ 70mph
1/4: 15.63 @ 89mph (I actually won this one against a Nissan Titan
)
3rd run
Reaction: .6162
60 ft: 2.41
1/8: 10 @ 70mph
1/4: 15.6 @ 89mph (I got romped by a 10 second Camaro SS
)
4th and final run
Reaction: .6062
60 ft: 2.43
1/8: 9.99 @ 71mph
1/4: 15.47 @ 90mph
I was hoping for 14's, but oh well. I'm thinking that I could probably clean up my 60 ft a bit and just get used to FWD, but I've decided to piece together a turbo kit with possibly a little bit of nitrous.
I hear that most people run mid 14's with swapped hatchbacks, so I can only guess that the drop in compression affected my power a bit.

What was your 60ft time?
I figured a stock GSR would be faster than mine because of the compression drop...compression = horsepower/torque, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm already looking into either a set of drag slicks or drag radials...and eventually a limited slip.
I realize I'm lacking on power some, but the 60' is what makes the 1/4

I wouldnt waste my money on an LSD. What is your launch technique?

The LSD won't come until later on down the road when I'm reeeeeeally having traction issues.
On my first run I launched it at 2,500rpms, but it bogged bad...resulting in a 16.0.
After that mistake, I revved the motor to about 3.5K, and slipped the clutch, but no matter what I did had wheel hop pretty bad.
Any advice?

I get what you're saying...we're having that problem with the Supra.
If you launch too high you spin, if you launch too low you bog.
13.2 @ 114 was the best we could do...it needs some new suspension

Your times seems pretty low though.
Any tuning? What exhaust?
I have a build LS/VTEC for boost(compression in the 9's) in an '92 hatch
Stock cast B16a1 header(made it a bit longer to fit)
stock GSR head
GSR IM(butterflies removed)
3" exhaust
short ram home made intake
tuned with crome
I started it up did a quick street tuned to the track(that was the brake-in)
60ft: 2.512
1/8 time: 9.337
1/8 speed: 77 mph
1/4 time: 14.298
1/4 speed: 96 mph
2 weeks later after changing the intake piping to a larger diameter and retuned it(the first tune wasn't 100% it was a quicky just to have it running)
60ft: 2.262
1/8 time: 9.035
1/8 speed: 78 mph
1/4 time: 14.003
1/4 speed: 98 mph
I launched at 5K.
Launched it higher

No tuning done at all.
I got my exhaust from nopi, I'm on a striiiiiict college budget and they had this brand that goes by "number 1" (think of it as a replica of the higher end stuff), so I got a header and a stainless steel 2.5" exhaust.

We've tried scanning the ECU, but every time it just freezes the scanner, so it might be an ECU issue.
We're also going to take a look at the stock cat to see if there are any restrictions with that.
