drag suspension setup
Hey first post on your forum. I recently bought a 95 eg with d16. I wanted to set up car for street/strip. Car has rebuilt d16 with sleeved block, eagle rods, wiesco pistons,272-2 cam, edelbrock x intake,70mm throttle body, golden eagle fuel rail,id 1000cc injectors, hondata 300s, precision 6031 turbo, 38mm precision waste gate, spoolin performance turbo manifold. I need to have car tuned. My question is whats the best setup for drag racing and daily driver. i can deal with a firm ride. Do I need traction bar? Car is curently lowered with springs only, I want to replace with coilovers. Also car has rsx exhaust from down pipe back with stock muffler. I feel this is hurting performance from excessive back pressure. Thanks in advance.
Thanks everyone for info. I posted engine setup to help with selection of coilovers. Car also has act clutch and street light flywheel and dsport engine mounts. Also what axels for this car? Are driveshaft shop axels worth the money at my hp? I want car to hook still spinning at 60-80 with street tires and obx lsd. I know I need boost by gear control, whats best brand boost controler? have manual boost control now? Thanks again great forum.
Progress is great its what ill be running on my drag car this summer. Just do whats in your budget if money isnt an issue then go with strange or progress but since it will be street driven then id just go gmforblox or function and forms

If you are on a tight budget, I have a mix of eBay coil overs and a set of brand new skunk2 sport shocks. My front springs are 350# and the rears are 650#. That got me a 1.7 60' on 23" slicks, open diff with a 270-ish HP turbo EF. You can order springs cheap from speedway motors to dial it in.
Not knocking the higher dollar stuff, just showing another option

I was always under the impression that you needed a stiff springs in the rear if these cars and it made sense, but after some research I've seen that a lot of top racers use a softer spring on the rear to let the car squat a little on launch and play with the 60ft with adjusting the shock settings... At least that's what I'm going to try lol
