contact Zubaltec (John) at Titan Motorsports or GSC Motorsports (James) because they ran a spool in their b16 tranny last year in their Si.

it's always a toss up....I'd say a good LSD, but if you got a spool with your $5000 axle kit, then you should be fine. REason I say is that I would hate for an axle to break when you're gassin' it in 2nd gear on a 700hp car.

get a pro-drive/circuitworx they come available with a speedo gear which is quite helpful. you can pick one up from Gear Speed.

i have a richmond and its goin back. we had to machine the spool to fit the ring gear. the runout where the ring gear bolts to the spool was horrible and the surface where the bearing presses onto was not machined properly either. the bearings pressed on HARD. one last thing i dont like about it is there is too much "slop" between the spool splines and the passenger side male ended inner joint. when in the car u can grab the axle from through the engine bay and move it up and down. u can clearly see that the movement is the axle moving inside the spool.

I don't think the Richmonds are CNC which is why their cheaper than most. I am leaning towards the Prodrive or Moore performance spool which are CNC.

i use the richmond gear spool also and have never had an issue. Make sure you get new bearings or find a machine shop in your area to press your old ones off. if you need bearings you will most likely need to order them thru your dealer. just a heads up.

I have to disagree. I personally would NEVER EVER reccomend a Prodrive/Circuit Worx product again. I have gone thru 2 oil gears and 3 Spools. Their products are weaksauce. had a metal test done on their oil gear and a stock oem Honda Type R gear and the metal is actually stronger in the oem Honda one. Go figure and Circuit Worx customer service is even worse! Vince has heard from me soo many times. He hears my name and hide...LOL

Why buy a product from a company that DOES NOT stand behind it.

There are MANY other good Spool companies out there: Richmond
