Default Drag racing for dummies

I havent been to the track in 6yrs and just need help with preloading correctly or different ways people do things

I do have boost by gear and i palyed with it until my battery died on my lap top

I went back to night at about 360whp (got a boost leak in a coupling)
this was on BFG D/R and missing 2nd and 3rd

well i ran

what i need help with is dialing in my 60ft's and dropping the extra second i know is there.

i know it's not fast for a lot of you guys but i enjoy a 11-10 sec street car. more fun IMO

Im sure im missing something just aske and i will tell the answer

thanks

you dont need slicks you have another .4 you can consistantly drop on BFG's. practice is all that will make you get better

It just takes some practice. You will get it. Just remember if you want a good 60/330' with small drag radials , you gotta leave real easy.

Here is one of my passes on the same tires. You can kinda hear how much i am feathering it in first and a bit in second.

and you are the reason i know i can do it.

I accidentally pulled a 1.6 60ft 1 time but missed a gear and im bogging to hell in 2nd gear. and i noticed it was because i feathered it.

i saw this video a while back. my coupe wieghs the same as yours.

Best I ever pulled out the BFG's was a 1.81 60' and they were completely bald. I try and load the driveline up as much as possible with the ebrake and not redlight. If your boggin 2nd gear you should let it hit the limiter once or twice in 1st before the shift.

All I see is a 2.1 60 with a 1.6 reaction time.

Also the best I ever pulled with my old bfg's was around a 1.83, a 1.6 would be pretty damn impressive.

yeah I was 1.8 range a lot with BFG's no matter what size I ran(235/60/15 or 225/50/15). I used the M&H 235/60/15 at one event and did a few 1.7's with no practice so if you need a better tire that is DOT i suggest those
