yea im gonna run 9's next week, its gonna be sooo easy..they must live life a quarter mile at a time

I hear this from this one guy locally all the time..I tell him..dude..I do run 10's and it took a good while to get the car and MYSELF to par to be able to do it..but yet he thinks he is just going to hop on in his car and just pull a 10 second pass out his *** the first time!

but for me..the great part is knowing when he goes to the track and cant drive the car I get to laugh at him..then maybe he will listen to me and take advice!

****, i got a truck load of broken parts from this year and i still havent hit 10s yet!!!... I hope it happens this weekend at IDRC, i'm over due...

i just want to hit a 12.9 and i dont know if its possible or not. LOL 10s is crazy.

 

I had a kid with a Mustang tell me some bullshit that sounds quite similar to this. He can name off all the parts he is gonna need but seems to think he can be in the 8's yes you heard it correctly the 8's for 10-15k and still have it be very streetable.

The area where I am from you have a lot of big talkers but no producers. Hopefully all this will come to an end here next year. I am making it a point to make sure that I dont say **** until I produce. I think being humble will be the key and maybe ill run into that mustang sometime next year

I took my "car dumb" friend for a ride in my sohc turbo crx and he says, "so this is like, a 10 sec. car, right". lol. The best I ever ran was 13.84. hahhaa

I enjoy the guys who plan to run a 600hp motor as their daily driver. Just need to put on a bigger turbo.

ive never thought about it much till now. That is pretty crazy though how people talk a bunch of crap. I always just rolled my eyes and ignore it. I finally saw a 10 second car in person this year brians. It was cool but man I know i don't have enough money or sponsors. Much props to the people that pull it off. I dont think i have enough seat time for a low 12 second car yet. I would be scared out of mind doing that at a track to be honest at least right now. I don't think people think about how dangerous it is and how that safety equipment is there for a reason...i wouldnt want to drive a 10 second car on the streets...that would be scary at least i think

That is like someone said to me low 12's are not respectable and anyone can run that. This coming from a person that never broke out of the 18's.

Due thats the best time to do it . no bills. I shoulda done all my work while i was still at home.
