Does oil effect ceramic clutches?

I believe i over-torqued my oil pan which resulted in the gasket popping out and leaking near the tranny.. I see a very small amount of oil sprayed on to the back of the flywheel.
I just got my car together and was watching for oil leaks all weekend.. so there cant be any significant amount of oil on the front side of the flywheel (if any).. I was going to spray a bottle of brake cleaner through the starter hole for piece of mind.
Should I be concerned? Would oil simply burn off eventually? Or does it soak in like on organic clutches.
Thanks.
edit: 6 puck ACT.

it will cause the clutch to slip, inturn causing excessive heat and will whipe out you clutch/flywheel and pressure plate.
i recommned fixng it before you go any further.

I just want to know if i should throw out the clutch if i see any oil on it.. or just hose it down with some brake cleaner and slap it back on.

that sucks man. it will deff destroy a carbon/ carbo clutch just as fast.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 2point2 »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

i would just take it down and insect it. use your judgement.

almost correct.............dissasemble the clutch and spray with break cleaner.....allow to air dry: reassemble, it will slike for a while untill it is completly dry

Tilton says that most rebuilds cost below 25% of the orignal cost...Our cost on new carbon discs and a spring plate with inspection and labor is 850-900 bucks though....Just did one for a customer...
Dont let the oil soak in....I have had the trans case break and leave a nasty mess all over the discs....sprayed them down with some solvent and was back in business...but I would think if it sat on the discs with time it wouldnt be good...

exactly howard.
and yes i have had this happen. the tranny casing was cracked on the inner part of the bellhousing after destorying some gears, the case had a hair line crack and we just threw it back together real fast and didnt see the small crack. this lead to it leaking a small amount of oil into the clutch assembly and in just one pass it created so much heat it destroyed the floaters/disks and flywheel.
