Default Del sol slick question?

I've got a 93 del sol with a b16 swap and it's boosted. My question is if i were to invest in some drag slicks would my 1/4 mile times be vastly improved or just a little to where it's pointless to drop that kind of money on slicks? Sorry if this is a simple question i just want to know before i fork out the cash.

Thanks.

How much power do you make? Do you have an eBay turbo making 220 or do you have a 67 making 600? Need a little more info

Hell, even at 220 slicks are going to be a help. The bigger factor from the power level, is what size slicks to use, of course your gearing comes into play alot as well, but power is the first factor.

Many people much more knowledgable than me can chime in, but on my car just going from drag radial to slicks dropped my 60 ft time by .2-.3 sec, and the ET a good .4-.5, and I have only done 3 runs on the slicks so far.

Aside from the fact that I could drive to the track and back on the drag radials, I wish I had just skipped them and gone straight to slicks personally.

Turbonetics 50 trim, making about 250 at the wheels.

Street tires to slicks is night and day for a fwd with a little bit of power.

23" slick is exactly what you need! perfect for that power level.
