i think thats what he is saying. as to not cool the tires as you go through.
i like pulling just to the edge, to make sure you are still in the wet, as i dont spin as i go through and stop, then burnout.
being at the edge of the water, will let the tires strike in 3rd gear.

At Englishtown. All the RWD cars start burnouts near the end of the waterbox. Their front tires alwaysss drag water wayyy past the "edge". So i always have to ride out of a burnout till i'm sure i'm past the water "streek" that they cause (it sometimes is about 6-7 feet past the box).
One time i did a 3rd gear burnout and rode out far and when i braked i stopped righttt on the first stage bulb. I guess i thought to myself "this works!! no creeping to the bulb".
Well i forgot i was still in 3rd. Bog-city. lol
