Default BOTI seattle: aftermath

i dunno if this thread will last in here but i got a few words to say.

skunk2: what can i say, these guys have their **** together. great lookin car and i was really suprised. i thought the car was full tube frame and its not. its got alot of tubing and alot of CF. still alot of sheetmetal though. think this car is fast, wait till the other car gets unleashed with hillier driving.
dr. charles: not only can this guy drive but hes there to help EVERYONE with questions. he is one cool guy and extremely nice. o yeah, good job charles on the 9 second passes
bisi: everyone says it but i never experienced it till last night. this guy is sooo ultra nice and personable just like i had heard. good passes bisi and it was nice meeting u.
bisi was tellin this kid how much HP hes makin and the kid is like well i want to make 400WHP. being the nice guy bisi is he just accepted the question and gracefully gave the kid an answer. personally bisi, i would have told him to take a ****** hike. bisi for listenin to stupid questions and still being ultra
polite.
lo vang: once again nice guy with a good attitude. FYI, he blew up his motor in qualifying round #2 against me and he just didnt even care. thats a tough one to take when u drive all the way from cali on ur own money to go out and blow a motor.
the whole DTR crew; danny, bell (nice meetin u), derrick and the sidekick justin
good seein u guys once again in the NW for an event.
eric99si, 91 LS-VTEC, max ha and whoever else i missed. hopefully battle will come out again next yr for some more record settin passes. just need a little more advertising so more ppl know whats goin on and when.

the aftermath during my last pass. funny thing is i didnt know anything was wrong. the car didnt chake or anything during the run it ran strong its just that danny had the faster car. i didnt know it was broken till i was goin down return road and heard the clunking of the axle and the pieces of the bearings and cage falling out onto the ground. hey danny, it was nice to race ya, too bad i treed ur ***.

I thought I saw bisi go 10.10. And like I said in another thread about Bisi, my experience with him was exactly like yours 1 2 NV. He was very courteous, even introduced himself and shook my girlfriends hand who just happen to be standing around. Very intelligent as well, and had no problems diving right into complicated crap even when he was supposed to be suiting up. Finally an official had to tell him to get with it. Sorry to get off topic in your thread. I have 3 of your runs on tape including your best. Unfortunately, i have no idea how to load them onto the computer. Good day for you I'd say. BTW, you have one of teh cleanest drag cars i've seen. Subtle yet FAST!

Here's 3 Video's of Dustin's car from my view.. Run #2 should be the 11.62 pass if I have it linked right.. (click on the link, THEN click or right click save target on the VIDEO BOX)

1 2 NV - Pacific Raceways - BOTI - 11.75 (1st) Pass

1 2 NV - Pacific Raceways - BOTI - 11.62 (2nd) Pass (notice the BOOM in left lane aka broke a rod)

1 2 NV - Pacific Raceways - BOTI - (3rd) Pass

then I ran outta battery power...

good race Dustin.. you got me by a little bit but if i spun the tires on that pass any more i could of lost to you..For some reason on this pass my car pulled hard to the left before going straight.. maybe i was lined up wrong but the all weekend i was pulling a 1.44 to 1.48 and then all of a sudden a 1.67 that scared me a little that i was behind you almost to the half track

Once again BOTI proved to be a excellent event and well worth the 20 hour trip! Thanks again to Frank, Mike, and the whole battle crew. It was nice meeting everyone from the northwest. Many thanks go out to eddie-cut and his girl Jessica for coming through and lending us a hand this weekend with our two race cars. Dustin, congrats on the run but u gotta get ur *** on a dyno haha no more redneck dynoing from now on. It was a little rough for the DTR crew in the beginning but everything pulled though for the team. Having both cars as well as brothers in the finals was a cool experience. Congrats Max, who would have guessed that you and Bell would have been in the finals hahaha. Bisi, thanks for taking my advice And last but not least thanks to my new drinkin partners Lo, Chris, and Five. I have never been drunk at 10 am before. All in all it was a great weekend.

i guess i should also put out a thank you to BOTI for makin it. the event was pretty small which i expected from the NW area and i appreciate frank and the crew from BOTI for givin the NW a chance when we were forgotten by the NHRA.
there are alot of ppl turnin around from the show scene and gettin into the race scene up here. i just got word of a D series turbo car makin 418WHP on saturday on the dyno from the east side.
frank we hope to see u guys back again next yr either at seattle again or at woodburn. both have been great tracks to me and other racers in the past.
derrick: the backroads *** dyno is right on target. i keep watchin the in car vid of me and danny. A/F ratios are a pretty steady 13.4-13.8:1 for the whole run. just needs more intake/TB/header. prolly some bigger pistons too, maybe even a little strokin action.
danny: u were right, i didnt realize that u got wheelspin against me but u can clearly hear it in erics vid he shot. it looked to be a damn good race until the 1/8th mile marker where the superior HP of the DTR car was apparent.
one last shout out to the garage five guys. its only their cars 3rd time out and its hittin 11s. weighs in the 1800lb range and they came from canada. hopefully one of em is on HT or will b soon.
