Battery Relocation by Tires

Is it allowed to relocate you battery by the front tires? Like this picture below? Or must the battery still be in a box?

only has to be in a box if its in the passenger cabin, since its outside the firewall, the firewall acts as the protection for the driver.

I called my local track b/c i was going to run my battery there a while ago.
they said if its relocated from its stock location, it needs a cut-off switch. and obviously, passed a certain time/mph you need a cut-off regardless...

OK cool, thanks for the help guys!! I already have a Cut off switch on the car i just wasnt sure about putting the battery there!!
