Default Azenis vs 555R

I can get a pair of 555r's for about $100 more than i can get a pair of azenis for. Money aside, which tire have you guys had experience with. They will not be daily driven, i have toyo proxes 4's for that, so these are dragstrip only. Thanks

I think the Falken is more of a ROAD radial for handeling the curves and the 555R is a DRAG radial.

I dont know if that was supposed to be SARCASTIC but i know the azenis' are designated as road racing tires, but alot of people use them for drags as well.

That was def not meant to be sarcastic! Sorry if i came off that way. I think you should get the 555R's since you are going to be drag racing. Seems like it would be worth the extra 100.

My best et with 555r's was 2.09. My best et with Azenis was 2.12. The Azenis were actually more consistant than the R's. I will not buy another set of 555r's. Azenis if you are on a budget and BFG's if you are willing to spend a the money for best DR 60ft's.

agreed i have driven on both b4 on my freind's cars and from what each of them said b4 they didnt like the 555r's too much compared to BFG's not worth the money. for the azenis its like launching a street tire w/ a better hook lol for drag racing. i dunno if u wanna use them for that but they sort of work. id rather spend the extra 30 bucks a tire and get Gforces.
btw isnt there a new drag radial out or something from a brand called "fusion"????not sure but i think i seen something about this b4 wondering if anyone used it b4?heard the price is really affordable

i think that tires have to be matched to a cars power... lets say your car makes between 150-170 whp your gonna love the dot tires, but when you have a car making 200 and up whp those tires are gonna suck ***...

i've never owned a set of 555r's so i dont have anything to say however i have owned the Azenis and theyre not all that thier cracked up to be they really suck *** on a road course and as far as drag racing my car makes more power than they can handle so i never tried them...oh and the road noise is really terrible they sound like off road tires

hell yea man a freind of mine used to only run on G forces at the very least other than slicks. swears by them saying the hook very well. so well he said he broke more axles on the drag radials than slicks lol

from personal experience with a car making about 200 all motor WHP, we had better luck with the 555's.... the azenis are OK, but we had a better 60ft with the 555's... good luck either way! late

Azenis are a great tire...for road racing. They are NOT a drag radial. The sidewalls are very stiff, thus do not allow the contact patch to enlongate under acceleration. I love my azenis for daily driving, but at the track I hate them. I have consistantly had the same 60 ft times with my new azenis as I had with bald *** kumho 711's.

I dont have much experience with the Nittos, but I know Azenis do blow *** at the track, they WILL NOT hook up, drop the pressure and heat them up, and they still do not hook well, maybe someone else has had better luck with them, I would try the Nittos.

ive had experience with both and i have to say nittos hands down between the two . as others have said the azenis are a road race tire. if you have a set of street tires i would run some bfgs , they are the best drag radial.

I have yet to break better than a 2.4 on my Azenis. I do suck at launching this open-differential turbo FWD, though...
