Recently started trapping 135+ and now I'm required to go get a license. any pointers on the easiest way to obtain one?

how about doing your passes? I have to schedule an appointment with a track official?

 

any street night or testntune will let you do passes.just have all paper work done before you go even the physical and make sure the car is legal,full cage w/cert,full clothing,etc

 

oh ok. sounds good guys. I'm going to try to get it done. What is the estimated turn around time after sending it in?

 

You also need to make sure there are some licensed drivers there as well to sign off, this usually isn't an issue though.

 

check with your track first, i made that assumption, and my local track made me an exception, i needed 2 more passes and the normal friday nights they dont do lic passes.

best thing to do is go to a test and tune. less cars, better prep, less pressure.

you need to join nhra, print out their physical form, get the physical.
you cant even start your passes til you have the physical.

then 6 passes, 1 half track 3 milds and 2 fulls. make sure your track manager knows all you need is 135mph. again they yelled at me because i was sand bagging the car to save the tranny. went low 11's but at 137.

and make sure everything on your application is signed, valid, and the drivers you get to sign arent expired.

if you live close enough to a divisional office, you can take your physical form along with your license forms to them, and they will give you a temp license right there on the spot. just last tuesday i finished my license pass's, took my stuff to the NE divisional office (15minutes from my place) and they gave me a temp right there on the spot. i also had to re-new my membership for another year to get the license.

hahah you guys are awesome. I'm getting my physical this thursday. hopefully sacramento raceway lets me slide this weekend since im "attempting" to get my license. haha
