Default 700whp from the Jetta!!

Since I race with a lot of you guys i thought i would share it,
changed the setup a little, new back housing and 4" DP helped out a lot to hold the power, so now if I can hook I can hunt down ari in the rx7. traction i know is going to be even more of a problem then before i hope NC has a good track.
this run went lean at the top end, due to me not knowing boost was going over 30+. backed down the boost and a/f was fine.

Why does the tq cross at 6300rpm?

Different Scales for torque and hp, look at the hp and torque that they're both making at 5252 and you'll see that they're the same.

For the torque #s.....I know you must have alot of patience, labor, and $$$ to make that thing do what you did to it....I guess theres not too much vw left in that car though since most of the factory parts break just by looking at them wrong...

That's actually wrong, vr6 rods are pretty beefy, some of them have put down over 600whp on stock rods. My little 4cyl vw has put down over 500whp on a stock block as well, so the factory stuff can take a bit of abuse

actually he himself went through trial and error with certain parts but the amount of money is not as much as you would think at all, just piston and rods.. plus the turbo kit..
there are a few 600whp vr6s on stock rods, and if i remember there was a stock bottom end and stock head vr6 just dta and a head gasket plus the turbo kit putting down over 600.. im sure Tim will chime in soon and correct me if i am wrong.

You are correct, the motors themselfs are built pretty well, but the rest of the cars mechanics are junk....ie, trans, axles, hokie shifter assemblies, all the plastic coolant parts on the motor, etc, etc, ....

tell me about it, i have this feeling 9's are still going to be tough to get. I need to stop thinking about power and put more time in to making the car hook.I'm already on a 28x9's not sure what else i can go to with out looking like like a 7sec p/ fwd car.i have spent so much time trying to get rid of TQ. think I'm going to just pull a plug wire until like 6000rpm
