I went to the drag strip last week and i got 4 runs in.

My fastest 60' was 2.376 and my slowest one was a 2.541. On stock gsr michelin tires. Is there room for improvement? I was told that i won't get much better than a 2.3 with an open differential and street tires?

nice Is that a common time for people running azenis and open diff? Or are you a special case? Stock clutch?

 

2.2 with stock michlins and 2 mods (exaust and intake) in a 2000 si. practice makes perfect. not that that is perfect. but pretty good i think

 

You can do better,
Practice does make the difference.
2.2-2.3 should be expected

Don't you know that everyone is special?

I can pull 2.2s 60' times on really ugly all-seasons with an open diff.. but part of that is the car's weight.

 

I got 2.3s the first time I went to the strip. I have one bald tire that puts all my power down and one fairly new tire that doesn't do jack .

 

On a all season radial i would expect a 2.2 to 2.3 . Thats what i pull anyways. On a good tire such as a es 100 or a azenis you should be able to pull 2.0 to 2.1, Thats with a open diff. I recently pulled a 2.21 on some crappy yoko avid t4s. I expect to take that to a 2.0 when i get azenis in about a week or so. Ill post up after i run.
