It would be awesome if you could do a points system like OGS is doing in NJ like a championship type deal or maybe work together with them to extend what they have and racers can get points at MIR too... Just an idea it would probably bring more racers from up north down to md to compete aswell.

Let me think on it.
I agree, they should be looked at a little more, that is just what they have always been at MIR for a long time. Most of the cars cannot even get that light.
I would like to hear some more input on these Heads-Up class rules when everyone gets a chance to review them before we finalize them on 5/1/12. I know everyone just got finished with Honda Day, so hopefully everyone can find time this week to review the Rough Draft of the 2012 IREV Rulebook.
There aren't many changes at all from last year, but a few small things.
The most notable change is that now we will be requiring all of the Heads-Up classes to run blankets or belly plans just like the OGS events. This will help with down time and put on a better event for fans.

I wish true street 6cyl rwd got a turbo size/weight break like the 4cyl. Not because I think the rules are unfair but because I hate putting 500lbs of ballast in my car
Looking forward to this season!

What size turbo are you running? What engine are you running? What weight is the car? What kind of car is it? The weight is set like that because of the Supras with a 72mm turbo.
Adding 500lbs is crazy lol. And 3600lbs for supras is tuff i can see 3500 but 3600 is full weight plus full tank of fuel or else add weight to a full oem car?
We can deal with the small tires but thanks Jason for working with us see ya this summer!

This is Ben with the 2JZ 240sx 6-speed. I'm running a 67 now, car with me in it is sub 2900lbs. Be nice if there was a weight break for <67mm.
Jason, is it possible to make it so that in the index classes, the words "no throttle stops or delay boxes are allowed" are in the rules? Or are those permitted? I'd rather they weren't....but if they are, they are. Thanks!

Thanks!
I took out some of the duplication in all of the tables of the bottom where it mentioned the same thing several times (engine, turbochargers, induction, nitrous, etc) and put into the main body of rules once so everything is a little easier to read and follow. And now everything is on one page too!
I am making up an new page on www.irevracing.com that will have all classes listed with links to rules on the same page, and that will make things easier to follow as well instead of all the seperate buttons.
