Just got done ripping out the interior of a 94 Accord LX I picked up recently. The carpet (as well as ALL of the interior) is disgusting. I was wondering if I could vacuum it out and just throw it in the washing machine to clean it up. I won't dry it in the dryer, I'll hang it up and put a fan or two on it.

Will I have any trouble with it warping or even falling apart?

 

Thats going to be a mess! I definately won't hold its shape if you do that. You may want to go to a local car wash and see if they have a carpet cleaning machine there (I know we do). Or you can use a wet vac.

 

I'm resolved to use a pressure washer/simple green. Thanks though!

 

try using a brush and some good cleaner, then a shop vacuum

 

USE SPOT SHOT!!!! WORKS GREAT.

 

rent a Rug Doctor, get the hose attachment, mix in 4oz of oxy clean, wash carpet like 6 times, than mix in simple green concentrate, wash twice, will be super clean

do not stick it in a washer or take it to a dry cleaner
