Does Wiki cite it sources? If not, I'm going to edit it so everyone is wrong. Wiki is only for reference...

it's not sequential injection. it's sports injected.

in 1984 and 1985, honda made a civic sports model named the 1500S. in 86, the same model got fuel injection, hence the "i" added.

Indeed Si stands for Sport Injection never understood what makes EM1's injection so sporty

Search "honda civic sequential injection" in google and you'll find hundreds of results. the differences are the older honda and the typical non si models use either dual point or multi point and the newer non si models use direct injection so im almost certain its not sports injection. sports injection refers more to tuning brands like skunk2 and toda sports injection upgrade kits eg. bigger injectors, intake plenum and fuel rails, throttle bodies etc.

Just because you think it is one thing does not mean that it is.

As was said over and over by people who know what they are talking about, Si = Sport Injected. Period.

Unless you have documentation from Honda proving otherwise, please stick to the facts.

Are the injectors in the 3g Civic Si even sequential (or even newer ones for that matter)? Seems to me they would more likely be batch fired. Or do I even know what I'm talking about (I've just got carbs)?

Prelude had Si model starting in 1985, a year before the Civic. But there was no Prelude S in that generation.

The Prelude Si was introduced in 1985 as a fuel injected model. Before that, all Preludes were carbed.

Pretty sure the HF stands for High Fuel. As in High Fuel mileage.

As for the others, i don't think they stand for anything. They were just on cars that had to have some kind of name.
