Does anyone here have ITBs on their N600? If so, what kinds?

i dont even think anyone here has fuel injection on there N600's. all you'd need is one weber DCOE carb i think and you'd be rocking. only 2 cylinders anyways.

No fuel injection, but dual carbs and itbs. I've seen it on a euro website. Only his car was a N360.

ITB's require fuel injection.. i am confused. maybe just dual carbs you are thinking of?

Well from what I understand you can use a Triumph Aclaim carbs on Euro and Canadian spec engines, but not on US ones for one reason or another. Also weber makes a complete kit for them aswell. You might want to look into Weber carb kit instead of investing in ITBs.

Yeah, you're probably right about me getting itb mixed up with the carbs. I'm don't know too much about carbs or itbs. Here are some pics that caused me to ask this questions.

those are sidedraft carburetors, weber will set you up. incidentally, you COULD convert those to fuel injection as well.

okay... something is weird. On my n600 engine there is a single intake for both cylinders. Why is the engine in that picture different? Is that a distinction between the 360 and the 600?

The Hawaiian head for the N600 supports dual carbs with two intake ports. Typical 600 heads only have one port.

There is a gent who races his Z600 at the salt flats who has throttle body fuel injection on his car.

Nope, you are wrong. The Hawaiian (European) head has the same intake ports as the standard American design heads. The cam holder assembly that goes above the head is the same in Hawaiian and American versions.

The Hawaiian has differently designed exhaust ports and pipes. To get the 45hp of a Hawaiian engine, you need the Hawaiian cam, Hawaiian head and Hawaiian exhaust. The cam itself has same lift but different duration. By itself, it doesn’t do anything to performance.

Decked 0.004”

Cleaned Hawaiian head. Exhaust ports require special port connectors.

Top view Hawaiian head (has angled exhaust ports).

What motor is pictured above with dual carbs? I know the z360 commonly had a dual carb setup and i have heard 600 folks mention a dual carb head for the n/z 600 but have no other information about where it was sold if it was a custom part or made by honda etc? No one seems to have any info on it. I have old articles on tuning the 600 but no mention of the dual carb 600 head there either. Im currently rebuilding my z600 motor and its hard not to want to find some of these parts. Being a street car though im a little reluctant to lose the heater for the headers needed to take advantage of the hawaiian/ euro head etc.
