1985 CRX LSD vibrations?
So I picked up my CRX about 2 months ago. and ever since i got it it has been giving me some strong vibrations in the wheels and steering. i should begin with I'm still very new to cars and I've tried to do a bit of my own research before reaching but cant for the life of me narrow down what is causing this vibration.
From what I've been able to doup, the car only vibrates ONLY when the transition is in gear and gas is being given. It seems to vary based on the severity of the turn, and is vary obvious when you make a sharp 90 degree turn say out of a parking spot or trying to drive in a sharp circle.
there is never an issue when in neutral, I can coast into turns with no issue. no issue on the road going straight or at high speeds.
seems to happen in both first and second gear. going in reverse also has no issue and no vibration.
I've already gone though all the wheel based inspections and adjustments. alignment is good, jacked it up and gave the good old tire kick/hub shake, taken it to two garage's and they tell me its just the LSD and its how it acts normally. and while I want to believe them since people also complain about the LSD, this is way to rough to just be normal. I'm not sold that it just drives around like this for 35 years
The next closest thing I'm inclined to think it might be is the universal joints? father in-law dropped some knowledge on me a day ago about it.
maybe the motor mounts?
Gonna be out of town for the next 3 weeks but am gonna continue to research, just wanted hopefully have some new areas to look at once i get back and hopefully narrow it down.

You don't have U joints. You have CV joints inside of the boots on the axles. Axles may have been replaced at some point, and if they're not OEM, they're usually a bit 'rougher' and can cause rotational vibrations.
You wouldn't have an LSD unless you have an aftermarket one.
