DA-NINE's PTE6870 AWD Integra build thread - updated for 2019
AWD Conversion ForumThis forum is to help with the recent advent of new AWD conversions. Got a question? Ask it here. Got an answer? Drop the knowledge here
I am not. I had to pull the head twice with the old T1s for rocker arm problems.
Went as far as swapping over to all GSC Matching valvetrain, same rocker and cam wear problems. My cams were replaced with a newer version. I’m going to go with an oem cam for the time being so I can confirm that the head is okay. I was told the new t1s have a new finishing process for this is concern.
Holley efi cam sync, Honeywell sensor on an Obd2 timing gear. SpeedFactory fuel pump drilled and tapped for the Holley sensor. Drilled and tapped skunk2 cam gear for the magnet bolt. Just about ready to go in the car.
Intercooler and radiator are in, made mounting brackets for my Flexalite fan, blow off valve mounted, Sensor block assembled and mounted, clutch solenoid and pressure sensor mounted. Up next is tackling the harness.
Wow This is awesome build the quality in parts and just the setup period is awesome!!!.
I have 96 Integra myself and 2 others but defiantly not on this level you are on, I hope someday to do build like this. But anyways my Integra has k20a2/ 5speed.
I screwed up should of built trans first but maybe on the next engine. So for now I'm enjoying it and gonna save up for a build like this AWD Integra you got going on.
AWESOME BUILD!!! Subd for more.
Thinking on doing a similar setup with gsr block and noon vtec head, mostly because already have both.
Can you recall what you did with:
1. blocking b18c1 vtec oil port on block?
2. Dowel pins and head alignment?
3. Which head gasket you ended using, b20 or b18c (for 84mm)?
4. Water pump?
5. Timing belt?

1. Yes block the port in the block (then opposite of a ls vtec)
2. Lsv dowels ran flipped upside down
3. 84mm non vtec gasket
4/5. Depends on rpm range. Vtec water pump needs a vtec timing belt. Non vtec pump can use a non vtec belt.
Got some wiring done, verifying sensors and testing the harness. Have to make up a surge tank for the mechanical pump and plumb the rest of the car. First time the dash has been back in the car in 2-3 years🥲
