Awd swap handbrake disconnect
Hi, I've been looking around online for a while. I'm building a CRX rally car fwd but I am curious if I did an awd crv swap if there is a way to disconnect the rear wheels when pulling the handbrake? I was thinking I would do the clutch pack and quick spool center diff options, and don't want to wreck them using the handbrake.
thanks
thanks
The dual pump rear ends do have a thermal bypass.... Maybe rig something in place of the thermal valve.
Pulling the handbrake opens the valve and dumps the hydraulic pressure that clamps the clutch packs.

If anyone has done that it'd be awesome to hear about it
There is a post on here somewhere about a person that build a car with a CRV rear end and modified it to use an air locker system. Maybe you could make a switch that is activated when you pull the handbrake to dump the air and unlock the rear.
