Where to lay preamp and speaker lines?
Basic 4 channel amp in the trunk. Power cable is already laid on the right side of the car. Do the speaker lines usually go down the center and the preamp lines down the left side or vice versa?
Thanks
sorry if it's been asked a million times already...

whats on the left side? keep the rca's away from any other wires if possible. that means you're probably going to run them down the center and the speaker wire down whatever side its going to just for ease.
well you just run both speaker and rcas on the "left" side the opposite side of the power wire its very hard to get noise in through "high level" or speaker wire so youll be fine running them next to the rcas
Is it worth going ahead and wiring in my coaxials for the rear deck if I am going to be putting in an amp and rewiring the car and installing front components next week? I don't plan on removing the coax's that I'm thinking of installing; I'm just wondering if it is worth wiring them up the the stock wires when it'll be rewired next week.
Thx,
Ben

I just spent the last four or so hours getting spanked by my first foray into car audio installation. I'm not going to bitch about it here; I'm going to start a whole new thread!

i have my power wires run on the passenger side since the battery is there, AI-net/DSP/EQ and CD Changer wire down the center and speaker wires down the other side.. no noise, no problems for the past few years...
