What is your layer security set up??
Pay the extra dollar for a good alarm, install a kill switch, a removable steering wheel. There is a bunch of stuff you can do. Oh yeah also get a backup battery for your alarm.
dude nice content but that site needs some work... trying making seperate pages for each one... i can help you if you need it. that's my job.
You shouldn't need more than two sirens. One hidden deep in the interior, and one outside as a decoy and to disperse the sound. Use a piezo siren for the interior and the one that comes with the alarm for the exterior. 4 normal sirens will sound funny as hell.
Believe me I know the page needs to be seperated out, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Take a look at my source you can see that I know what I'm doing HTML/CSS wise. The main reason I haven't done it is because ***'s uploading setup is a goddamn joke. It's also very slow. I need some server space but I'm not about to shell out the cash or move to a server with mandatory ads.

Barely anything. The entire site fits on a floppy. To be safe, I'd say 5MB would be plenty to allow for future expansion. It barely pulls any bandwidth either. ***.net addresses don't show up in search engines. What's your domain name? Would I have direct access? Cuz at times I make small corrections daily. Thanks for the offer. I'm almost finished dividing the pages up btw.

Since my CRX is being redone for the XX time..here my layout:
1. main alarm with 3 immobilizers ( fuel,starter,ignition)
2. digital tilt motion sensor
3. hatch,hood,doors,fuel door are pinned.
4. dual zone proximity sensor.
5. audio sensor (glass breakage)
6. air horns behind fenders.
7. led in doors as well as center of dash.
8. battery backup.
9. A trojan horse ( a defective alarm) wired in the "typical" underdash location.
10. a "hidden in plain sight" valet switch.
11. OEM 10mm battery terminals replaced.
Since I plan on using the car for a demo and audio competition next year..its being
revamped
. Other future upgrades (possible) include:
- gps tracking
- 3M Security Film
- Stobes
The way I see it...They really are gonna have to have a major hard on
for my car, when there are so many "easy pickings" out there.

mitico.com
email them your location and a local distributor can help you and show you how to use it properly.
$350-$650 depending on model. choose the 14" boot not the 12" expensive but you get what you pay for.
these are the only government contracted wheels boots for the past 40 years... no key to pick either... will have to be cut off.
goes on and off in less than a minute...and fits nice and snug behind the passenger seat.

Why is there a $300 price variance?
In your avatar you can see it covers the lugs, but in the pic it doesn't look them same.
That may be the ultimate security layer but if it goes for $650 in your area, you should probably get a GPS tracking device instead.

GPS tracking is worthless because the satelites are not forgiving, if your car is under a tree or in a garage or in a chop shop they wont be able to locate it

I seriously doubt that's true of all services. I've used other GPS technologies and they didn't suffer those limitations. I personally know of two people that got their car back and broke up theft rings because of lo jack.
suspendedHatch i saw your posts before and have checked out your site. it really inspired me that you would take so much effort to put all that info together.
since my 91civic si got stolen and stripped and i havent had a car forawhile, i havent been on h t alot lately. if you need space i would consider offering it to you. i mostly do php/mysql web development but i have a webhosting business as well. i would consider offering you a basic hosting package just so its that much easier for you to spread the knowledge. i would even set you up a forum and maybe some database driven php/mysql apps if you want. just email me at richmedic at gmail dot com. i am going to try to get the same car again and start over hopefully within the next month or so... i will definately need some assistance since i am a relative noob.
i would like to be a part of helping people protect their investments, and give back to the community. i would probably still have a car if only i had found your site earlier, so i can see the real value of that kind of info.

LoJack doesn't use GPS like Viper GPS etc. Lojack is different.

richmedic, thanks for the offer and your kind words. VSRacing.net donated some space and it works pretty good AFAIK. As for forums, I think the audio/security forum here on HT works just fine (thanks mostly to fcm). Since you are a pro web developer, any constructive criticism toward my shitty *** design would be much appreciated! I've gone through 5 re-designs in less than 8 months and it still looks shitty. At one point, I was using dark brown as the primary color just to emphasize how shitty the layout was. I'm very comfortable with HTML and CSS, but I never took any design and layout classes.
ALL THE SECURITY LAYERS I CAN THINK OF

I didn't know my username would be the webaddress, so don't be surprised if it changes to vsracing/causeForAlarm
Thanks VSRacing!

dude its not THAT bad... LOL @ using brown! well i actually do have a few ideas and lots of php tricks i can show you (assuming your server supports php) as well as any mysql database tricks needed. i'm sure you must know some of the things that are possible with php/mysql, but i will name a few. server-side ttf font support (uploading ttf fonts to server so users see it correct wether or not they have the font), any type of email auto or bulk, shoutboxes, dynamic image generation, comments, server time/date display/referencing, and that is of course just a few basics off teh top of my head. glad to hear you got some space, the downside to gettin it from me is you would prob need your own domain name. if you use msn feel free to add me(or just email me), we can chat as much as you want about different web techniques. when i get my next car i will most likely be looking you up for some consultation if not just having you secure it yourself, so dont worry about hittin me up for whatever info i can offer.</messin up this thread>

Sorry, I'm not much of a scenester with cars or alarms or anything, so I don't know of anyone. I still think your best bet is to do it yourself. I had hoped that the site would make that possible. It's definately easier than an engine or suspension swap. Practice the crimping like I have it laid out and then give it a shot. If you have any problems, I got email.
yea i think i am gonna do it myself but do you have any recomendations on a site thats pretty good and fair on price other then ebay
Oh and a good place to get kill switches
