what type and watt amp needed
i don't have these speakers but thinking about getting some. not looking for bass more for clarity in my speakers.
is it a good idea to have a small amp for type S door speakers.
they are 80w rms and 240w max
my hu puts out 50x4 (have not figured out what that mean actually)
to the point now i would like to do things the best way i can instead of just throwing things in and hope it works.
open to ideas or different set up. anything is workable just time to get the money to do so.

The HU doesn't output 50 x 4. 99% of them only output a true 9-10w per channel.
If you want to do things right, start off with a new headunit, then speakers + amp + a little sound deadening.

are we talking for just one pair of door speakers or two?
if we are talking about just for front speakers http://www.arcaudio.com/productdescr...125.2-mini.asp or http://www.arcaudio.com/productdescr...es/xxd2080.asp
if we are talking about for front and rear http://www.arcaudio.com/productdescr...s/ks-125.4.asp or http://www.arcaudio.com/productdescr...es/xxd4080.asp

the 50x4 means it makes 50 watts 4 times, so each speaker if you have four hooked up should see 50 watts each, but like said above most head units make around 15 real watts, they over rate them a lot. so what you want is a small 4 channel amp, maybe 60-100 watts x 4, personally i like to stick to companies like Rockford Fosgate, JL Audio, maybe even a lesser known like Sundown Audio. Remember with that Vibe amp, you get what you pay for, is Vibe an actual company?

some of the arc amps are built by ubuy.com.tw (the low end ones that just look like a little box)....the higher end ones are not....
also on those 4 channel arc amps they are closer to 80rms per channel

LOL....are you THAT gullible?
You know..arc said the same about this amp too

SAME exact internals..same exact design..built in the same exact build house

If you believe your guy @ arc that bad, i have a bridge to sell you.
Here's the thread about the vibe amp over on diyma

Do your research before you sign something off so quick
ya thats elf audio....you got any pictures of the inside of the vibe amps? thats just sad. i just lost respect for arc.
so all the arc amps are made by http://www.ubuy.com.tw/ also.

It was obvious that your rep @ arc would try to downplay another company. I would too if my product and integrity was on the line.
Vibe is a low key brand from italy. Their stuff is usually hit or miss but these class gh mini amps are selling like hot cakes.
There may be a diff cap or 2 but these amps are 99% identical for a fraction of the price.
Yes..ubuy makes all of them. There's another mini amp on the market by a company called wetsounds.
Same amp in a white chassis http://wetsounds.com/pages/products/SYNMICRO.html

What I don't get is why "audiophiles" are so black & white. I mean what color is the sky in that world? lol.
I've been looking for more clarity too, but with a low budget. Asking for recommendations is always a pain, and this thread is case & point. Rigid minds not willing to investigate, thinking $52 in bulk hardware costs an extra $398 in overhead. I'd expect this from a Ferrari owner's forum, not Honda-tech.
I'll definately be looking into these mini amps, and probably buying one or two. Thanks for that info.

No prob. There's so much good stuff out there that's dirt cheap. The problem is, people get recommended brands they never heard of and automatically call it crap. Had some guy raving on another forum that jl audio had better amps than zapco, tru, & audison just because he's never heard of them.
