hey gargsta, I seemed to have no problem finding a 791 for that much. I guess the main thing is not to have the shop install it. I did mine on my car, but then again I install that **** all day at work.

The 791 are a discont model, I sell you the matrix 3.5 that replaced it fo $270- If you want the backup battery I'll toss it in for a extra 30 buxs. Please watch out for the internet sites. Most are not backed by dei. Desmon-Precisionmobilesoundwerks-562-489-3678

791XV is not a discontinuted model, the 790xv IS

PLUS the matrix 3.5 isn't even VIPER at all. its the CLIFFORD version of the 791xv, almost entirely the same.

the only reason they are so expensive is because alarms are sold from the manf. with install. getting it offline obviously there is no install so its cheaper. got my 791 for 170.

namez...that same seller might get more. few weeks ago, he had a batch of vipers and they were all sold within days. that was his 2nd batch and that was sold within days as well. you can hope he has a 3rd batch soon?

PM him and see if hes gonna have another batch of viper 791's for sale eventually.

We are an authorized dealer, and sell them over the counter with DEI warranty, but I get the impression you can't buy DEI over the counter down in the US 94

I am the install supervisor for a large western Canadian electronics chain store.

I am currently on medical leave because I had a stroke, [that's why I can spend so much time here on H/T and at g2ic. 94
