Default Valentine One

Just got one for my 00 civc coupe. Anyone got one with that same kina car? Where should I mount, I'm thinking about also buying the Concealed Display unit and mounting that under my cd player. Where should I mount my main unit so it is away from sight. Let me know

It has to be in sight to be effective. It needs to see out of both windows. I normally mount it right under the rear view mirror, and tilt it so that it can see out the rear window.

Unfortunately my teg was stolen, and I have no pics of how it was mounted. It is the way I have done on all my cars though. As close as I can get it under the mirror.

i have mine mounted right next to my rearview mirror, the suction cups are on the tint band and the V1 barely clears the tint. i like to have it right next to the mirror so i can see what's behind me at the same time if there's an alert to the rear.

How much do they run? And my dad was telling me how you can get this thing to mount on the bumper so the detector can be hidden. What is that?

How do these radar detectors work anyway? Do they just work when the Cop has a radar gun out? Or do they just detect the presence of Cops?

There was a thing called beartrakker( I think that was the spelling). It detected use of the relay system on cop cars radio.

I have never seen one in action personally. The theory is solid though. If the cop has the radio turned off you are screwed. But I don't think that ever happens.

yeah it works great according to him, he hasn't had any tickets or close calls. he kinda needs it when he's runnin 840 whp without nitrous. lets just say that SP in chicago built a pretty mean supra with all the goodies. he also has an s2000 with a valentine one hard wired.
