Default trunk popper for civic?

I was wondering does it really require a "motor" in order for the trunk to pop open for the security system? My alarm is Viper 350 Plus. Also, how much would the remote start be?

On most Honda/Acura you can use a door lock actuator instead of a solenoid, installation is critical when using an actuator as it does not have the power of a solenoid.

What do you mean, "how much would the remote start be". 94

Viper 350 isn't remote start.

The site in my sig has several examples of trunk pop. Very difficult to get the actuator just right so that your key and release handle work perfectly and so the latch isn't stuck in the pulled position.

well, the viper "dealer" that i got my alarm install says that I can "add remote start for $180", so I was wondering how much is that module alone?

Yeah you can... but it doesn't make sense. By the time you pay for the remote, antenna and module you might as well just buy the remote start alarm.
