i think throwing any hard object can break the glass..lol

a buddy of mine tapped a glass window (school's window) and it shattered. Not sure the effects on the car's window though.

and i doubt the spark plug will mess up with the alarm.

Here's what I get from my brother - a cop...

break the spark plug in half, then you throw the ceramic end at the window, and it will shatter...

sounds odd but it works

i have heard in the past, that it has to be a used spark plug. a new one will not work supposedly.

I read that the spark plug method will break the side window glass with little or no impact. This can be used to circumvent the shock sensor of an alarm system. It may even be undetected by a glass breakage sensor. I'm not sure about this. Anyway, a thief can then gain entry into the car without setting off the alarm. I do not have to elaborate on what they can do from there. That is why its important to have a hood pin, hood lock, battery backups, hidden sirens, interior motion sensors, window tinting, etc.

it does break a window fairly easy...and it doesnt need to be thrown hard neither..

A good alarm has microphones inside to monitor for specific "glass break" sounds and the alarm would be tripped if any window were to shatter. Car alarm manufacturers realized ppl can use those tools for when ur stuck in ur car underwater to gently puncture the glass with little to no detectable shock.

We were all young once. . . yes even a tiny *** piece of the ceramic will shatter a window like you wouldnt believe. I didnt believe it myself, until i saw it.

A small piece (about 1/3 the size of a dime) of ceramic will spider a window you do not need to throw it hard if you do you will end up going through windows on both sides of the car. You hear a small pop and the window spiders the glass doesn't fall out until you push it. This works with tempered glass. I made the mistake once of showing this to some neighbor hood kids. Ceramic is significantely harder then glass so the trick is to get a point or sharp edge to hit the glass.

"scraping" will just scratch the glass.

A high voltage arc from a spark pug will not do anything to your alarm. Think about it, if it did then every time you started your car you would need to buy a new alarm. Niether will a stun gun another myth.
