Default those with higher output alternators..

I'm looking to replace a dying alternator in my G2. The stock alternator is only 65 AMPS so I'm looking at a higher AMP alternator. For those of you with higher AMP alternators, have you noticed any loss in power or lower gas mileage?
Btw, the alternator I'm looking at is 135 AMPS.
I've shopped around and everyone seems to carry the 65 AMP OEM replacment for around the same price as the 135 AMP.

The weird part about that is whenever I've seen someone add in a giant alternator, they usually add some weight to the car as well (sub and amp setup, speakers)... so invariably it will feel a little slower and the mileage will suffer slightly.

As for the affects of JUST the alternator: I'm not sure I could attribute any noticeable difference to just that. There prob. is SOME, but I couldn't isolate any impact really... I think the weight might bog you down more.

and 135 amps isn't too large anyway, don't think it'd be much of a problem.

u will probably notice a bit more engine drag with the new alternator, especially on a small displacement engine with not so much torque.
