The second owner got the alarms disconnected. He never used any remotes cuz they were disconnected. When my mom bought the car the mechanic sed they were both disconnected just to make sure. Yesterda i was in my friends nieborhood and i unlocked the door and opened it and guess what THE ALARM GOES OFF. The oem alarm started going off and i couldnt do anything so i disconnected the battery. Now i cant do anything with it cuz i shut off the alarm. it just keeps going when the battery in connected. Im prolby going to call an alarm guy today to help. but do you guys now what to do. is there a valet switch hidin somewhere. please help

put the key in the door and unlock it. This is usually how OEM alarms are shut off. Putting the key in the ignition wont do anything.

Yo , I have a qeird *** problem too, so I though I would post to see if I can get some help.

Just bought a 93 prelude SI, it has a aftermarket alarm installed that wasent working when i bought it. It has aftermarket keyless entry, alarm goes off when doors or trunk is opened and armed, but cant tell if it has shock sensor or ign kill. I think its a python circa 1993 (old skool). So i drove the car aorund for a while, alarm dident chirp when locking/unlocking via remote. The one day I was at autozona and put a hose clam on a loose radiator hose. Shut the hood, as im walking back in, I pressed the lock button via the remote and it chirped and lights flashed (lights flashed before, but no chirp). I''m like wtf? Go inside , buy some stuff , come back out and pressed the button to unlock and it chirped twice and unlocked, Im like sweet. Its been working for last three weeks, then today, drove around in traffic for 45 min and came home, pressed the button to arm and no more chirp. damn.

Also, the "brain"/controller box always hits my foot when I go to clutch, dunno if this will help...

Anything obvious I should check?
Thanks for the help guys...

yeah, thanks, they installed the damn valet switch too close to the clutch and my big *** foot always hits it.

Also, I have this ancient "pursuit" alarm made by audiovox. Can anyone tell me why the shock sensor dosent work, I can see the light on the firwall, and it goes off when i touch it , but I cant for the life of me trigger the shock sensore when the alarm is armed. The guys at the alarm place were dicks too and wouldent take a look at it.

Thinking about getting a clifford intelliguard 750. Anyone know how much this is going to cost me w/ installation?????
