Suggestions to improve my security system?
I have a DEI Viper security system. So far I have the standard shock sensors, a hood pin, and a back up siren/battery. Any other suggestions to improve my security system? Should I get proximity? Tilt? Trunk lock? Glass breakage sensors? Is it necessary to get another hood pin or is 1 sufficient enough? TIA...

Well you could add...hood lock to keep the sleazies out of the hood...tilt and glass breakage are good choices, Hope the hatch trunk is wired as well. You couls add
stobes to your lights so that when it triggers is a light show.....All good choices.
Remember this...theives are like roaches..thgey hate light and noise...the more
attention your car can bring to itself the better off it is.

Hood Locks, and Move your Kill Switchs to Above the Firewall. Hood Pins are Nice to have, or a backup speaker thats selfpower, can't go wrong with a glass sensor, becuase thats how most of them do it spark plug and Hammer and just go to work, i took out of door locks, so they will have to snake there *** into the window with glass all over thee ***, haha fucken thevies.
No.....hood locks are a hardened cable system that keeps the hood from
opening and it cant been seen from outisde of the car. Hood pins are
drilled through the hood and secured....serves same purpose but you end
up with holes in your hood.

automatic machine gun with infared/heat/motion/ tracking detectors That pops out of the top of the car when the alarm is triggered.
All these are great suggestions, but wouldn't you just have to disconnect the battery to disable the alarm? What is the point of all these features, when everything will be shut off once it doesn't have any power going to the alarm?
I have a backup siren w/ the battery built in, but I heard that you just need to yank it out and put it in a bucket of water.

you are correct but making the theft finding the hidden back up siren and installing the unit will serve its purpose.

definitely relocate the hood cable. it seems easy enough. doesn't require any hardcore modding either.
Also a fuel kill switch or a bunch of them
, autolock, clubs, razor on the seats, ...whatever will slow down that bitch *** thief.

One of the simplest things you can do is always park with your steering turned completely to one side and set your e-brake. That makes towing harder. As far as the alarm / security, add a kill switch, trunk/hatch pin and a pager. Power door locks are always a weak zone too. Too easy to reach in & unlock. Move the switch or disable them.
