Sub and Amp troubless..
okay i have 2 JL 12' W3v2 in a sealed box. My amp is Pioneer GM-5200T. http://www.amamax.com/picaramgm76m.html
My subs are dual voice coil and are wired in series, Also my amp is bridged to connect to my subs
Here is the problem, there was a whole bunch of wiring issues that i had to deal with within these past few month, and i finally got everything connected without any problems, but i didnt replace any wiring.
Then when i was listening to my music out of no where my subs cut out. I checked my amp and the power is on, i checked all the wiring and its fine.
My prediction is that its either my RCA cables or The wiring of the Subs in the box.
because my amp is on, but the subs just don't work.
what do you guys think? or what is the common problem if the subs don't work and the amp is on?
I know my amp is weak and im looking to replace it soon because sometimes they work and sometimes they don't work as good its weird.

Which 12W3v2s, DVC 2 ohm, 4 ohm or 6 ohm?
You say the subs are wired in series, do you mean bot the VCs and the subs?
If so, [all wired in series] then that would be an 8 ohm load if they are DVC 2 ohm, if they are DVC 4 ohm subs, you would have a 16 ohm load, DVC 6 ohm would be 24 ohms.
I would guess if the subs and VCs are wired in series that your problem is wiring in the box, any broken connection at any point would disable both subs.

umm My subs are 4 ohm.
and only my voice coil are wired in series, Heres a easier way, this is exactly how i wired my subs, and i bridged the connection on my amp.

You could test the amp and subs first, just hook up one good speaker to the amp with the volume on lowww! Them back track wiring to the headunit. Buy a set of RCA wires and run over the seats for a quick test and if you don't need them take them back. Next determine if the headunit is faulty. To do this without using a meter or another amp, you can buy a hi-lo converter and hook it up from rear speakers to amp. If it works then you RCA outputs on headunit are bad. GL
Also, I believe you would attain the most from your amp using this setup
