my boy just gave me two rockfordfosgate punch amps 225.2 and 500a2 and 3 10 inch subs one is an MTX thunder 7000 rated at 8 ohms and the other two are pioneer premier 600watts max at 4 ohms also a kicker crossover and a cap to. My questions is will it sound different with the miss match subs and will the amps blow the subs i know how to hook up a system but i have never hooked up a crossover and two amps in one car.

 

they can sound alright but youll have to spend some time setting them up.. adjusting your amps slowly will help get an even sound from all subs. hooking up 2 amps is easy with a distribution block.. as far as external crossovers.. i havent seen them used in a long time.. if the amp doesnt have one built in you might want to consider upgrading.
