Default Static Noise

I just recently noticed a static noise when I listen to music. It's there when the volume is low and I can hear it when I listen to music without a lot of bass. Anyone know how I can stop the staic noise?

$20 says your rca's and power wire are running on the same side of the car. . .that is if you are running amps.

Q1: Is noise consistent with volume increase / decrease?

Q2: Does the noise change in pitch with increased engine RPM??

Q3: Can you hear this noise when the engine is off?

Q4: Does the noise make a poping noise?

Q5: When you select from CD to Tuner modes does the sound appear when the button is depressed?

Q6: What changes have occured in your system / automobile?

Answer all those Q's honestly after you *really* test each one... Then you will have your answer...

Regards

1. The noise is there when the volume is low. It's still there when the volume is high but you can't hear it as much since the music is louder.

2. No

3. Yes

4. No

5. No

6. I just recently got a Alpine 7894. I'm running 2 amps and a sub. A shitty amp for my speakers and a kenwood amp for my JL sub.

Yeah, I'm running RCA wires on the same side of the car. It's not a wissing sound, it's static.
